What is PAIR?
PAIR is a pet matchmaking platform. It helps owners find compatible companions for their animals, from a quick playdate to a lifelong bond, matched on temperament and welfare rather than distance alone.

The basics
Better matches. Happier companions.
- What it is
- A pet matchmaking app with rich profiles, preference-based matching, and local discovery for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and small pets.
- What it is not
- It is not just a list of nearby pets, and it is not only for dogs. Matching is built around personality, intent, and welfare, and unsafe pairings are flagged.
- Who it is for
- Owners looking for a companion for their pet, and a local community of people who care for animals the same way.
How it works
Finding a friend for your pet should not be guesswork
Build your pet's profile
Add photos, breed, age, energy, and personality, then say what you are looking for: playdates, a walking buddy, or a long-term companion.
Discover nearby matches
Filter by species, breed, age, distance, and intent. The best-fit companions come first, with a clear reason for each match.
Connect safely
Chat with other owners in the app. You decide what to share and when, before agreeing on a first meetup.
Every companion
Not just dogs and cats. Every kind of friend.
Every animal has different social needs. PAIR knows a rabbit looking for a bonded partner needs something very different from a dog looking for a park buddy.
- Dogs
- Playdates, walking buddies, and park regulars matched by energy and play style.
- Cats
- Calm introductions for cats who would enjoy a companion, at their own pace.
- Rabbits
- Bonding partners for a naturally social animal that does best in pairs.
- Birds
- Flock mates and social time for parrots, budgies, and cockatiels.
- Small pets
- Same-species companions for guinea pigs, rats, and other herd animals.
- More to come
- Horses, reptiles, and other companions are on the roadmap.
Made for connection
One app, every kind of companionship.
Tell PAIR what you are looking for and it matches with that in mind. A quick playdate and a lifelong bond call for different things.
- Playdates
- Burn off energy with a pet who plays the same way yours does.
- Walking & activity buddies
- A regular companion for walks, park visits, and outdoor time.
- Bonding partners
- A long-term companion for social animals that thrive in pairs.
- Lifelong friendships
- Friends for your pet, and a local community for you.
Features
Built for thoughtful matches. Nothing you don’t need.
PAIR does three things well: profiles, matching, and discovery. Everything else is there to make the first meeting go smoothly.
- Compatibility scoring
- Energy, size, sociability, personality, and species weighed into one clear score, with the reasons behind it.
- Local discovery
- Find companions within a radius you choose, so a meetup is a short walk away.
- Preference filters
- Nice-to-haves and hard deal-breakers. PAIR never suggests a pairing you have ruled out.
- Rich pet profiles
- Photos, personality traits, breed details, and what you are looking for, in one shareable profile.
- Health records
- Share vaccination status and health details with a match before you meet.
- Verified owners
- Owner verification helps keep the community safe and genuine.
- Private by default
- Your location and contact details are never shared without your consent.
- Safe messaging
- In-app chat with spam filtering, so you never have to share your number.
- Meetups & events
- Plan one-to-one playdates or join local group meetups for pets and owners.
Animal welfare
Some pairings simply are not safe.
PAIR flags predator–prey combinations, such as dogs or cats with rabbits, birds, or small pets, and solitary species such as hamsters. Introductions are framed as supervised and gradual.
- Unsafe pairings are flagged before anyone meets.
- Predator and prey species are never suggested together.
- Owners are encouraged to introduce animals gradually and under supervision.
About PAIR
Why it is called PAIR
The PAIR mark shows two animals meeting nose to nose, their shapes forming a heart.
It is the whole idea in one picture: companionship works when personalities fit, not just when two pets happen to live nearby.
Questions
Common questions
What is PAIR?
PAIR is a pet matchmaking platform from Kairo Technologies. It helps owners find compatible companions for their animals, from playdates and walking buddies to bonded partners for social species.
Is PAIR only for dogs?
No. We are launching with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and small pets like guinea pigs and rats. Horses, reptiles, and other companions are on the roadmap.
Can I use PAIR just for playdates?
Yes. You choose what you are looking for (playdates, walking buddies, a bonding partner, or simply friendship), and PAIR only shows matches for that.
How does matching work?
You build a profile for your pet and set your preferences. PAIR compares species, energy, size, sociability, and personality with pets nearby, respects your deal-breakers, and explains every match.
How are owners verified?
Owners go through a verification step before they can message or meet others. Verified profiles carry a badge so you know who you are talking to.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. Other owners only see an approximate distance, never your address, and your contact details stay private unless you choose to share them.
How does PAIR handle animal welfare?
Some pairings simply are not safe. PAIR flags predator–prey combinations and solitary species, and encourages supervised, gradual introductions.
